I'd rather Derpy be restricted to "Where's Derpy" cameos. That way, all of the Derpy fanon remains canon (in their minds) and everybrony is happy. Derpy episode? It'll never happen.

Tomato Soup is a unicorn, a chef originally hailing from Canterlot. With just about the last of his savings, he opened up a restaurant called the "Cafe Bouquet". A small handful of regular patrons kept the revenue incoming, and there was a trickle of new customers every now and again. But the truth was that in the public's opinion, his cooking was said to be... "traditional". Eventually, the restaurant hit a dry spell, and unable to keep up with maintenance costs, Cafe Bouquet had to close down.

Black Pepper is an earth pony, and has been barred from pretty much every kitchen (save her own) in the Ponyville area for "improvising". All too eager to experiment with new combinations of food and flavoring, and all too ready to rope an unwitting guinea pig into trying it. Especially beware of spicy dishes, they can be a fire hazard where Pepper is involved. In fairness, however, her experiments do have a trend of getting just a bit less outlandish as time passes.

Together, they fight crime.
