That's just what I've heard them being compared to.

You're right though, it doesn't make much sense. I prefer the boobs theory myself (although I don't think boobs are the sort of thing thing that just APPEAR overnight

^Well, I imagine it's periods as a sign of hitting puberty, sort of thing. The way the girls treat it in "Call of the Cutie", it definitely seems most similar to breasts, though - particularly given that it's a visual sign of puberty,
