Rainbow Dash and Applejack are really flat characters to me. The only difference is AJ is a good flat character, while RD is a bit egotistical.
Oh snap, anti-RD pagetopper.

I know Rainbow Dash is a flat character, but I thought Applejack was supposed to be pretty well-endo— *SHOT*

Whoohoo, 40k posts! (Sorry for being late, it was 39, 996 when I started reading it.)
It seems like not long ago that the thread was under 20k posts.
As for RD's pet, what do you think the odds of her remaining petless are?

It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
Applejack's character revolves around apples. Selling them, growing them, all sorts of stuff. It's not good or bad, but she's very hardworking, so she seems nice.
Rainbow Dash is very impulsive in any situation, whether it's fighting a villain or dealing with her friends. Impulsiveness always seems like a bad quality to me, and is has the potential for bad consequences.

I kind of suspect there will be a birthday song of sorts in the upcoming Spike episode.

I'm desperate for a song at this point, although I'm not sure why. There's tons of great fan music out there.

I don't think I'd call RD a flat character; she's certainly more abrasive, but there are definitely layers to her personality, mainly of the "do what's best for me vs. do what's best for my friends". She is the most abrasive of the group, but I don't really think it's that bad; it's not like she's a jerk to her friends or anything. Most of the trouble she causes is due to her inability to think things through before she does them.

@ginger I don't remember, but propably similar moment or earlier. I remember at some point (after few month as Brony and in this tread) I started comparing numbers of post in this tread to other shows, and it was somewhere between 11K - 16K post it was less than many treads about anime series (most of them are now far behind this tread in number of post .
And Twilight Sparkle is best pony.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
Damnit Davenport. First it was Quills and Sofas, then it was Quills and Cookies, now Quills and turtles? Why don't you just give up and start an arts supply store, man? Everypony knows it's what you want to do.

In RD's case her standard "impulse" is "help a friend" - it was that impulse that led to her going straight into rescue-Rarity mode in Sonic Rainboom, and while charging a dragon was a dumb move, she did it to help her friends. I don't think it can be held as a straightforward "bad thing" when her standard reaction is intended as a "good deed".
