Well the way it came out to me, was she simply saw potential for great power in Twilight, and wanted to make sure she used it right. Then, as she got to know her, saw her grow and develop, realizes she would be a good choice to become a Princess.
Which reminds me, are princes an actual thing in pony society, or are they just a flight of fancy of the kind that Rarity sometimes gets?
I am an ENDLESS BARREL of exposition!
But yeah, I'm done.
Ummm, real. Though seems to be only through relation to Princesses. Shining Armor is refereed to as a prince a few times after the Wedding. And Blueblood is Celestia's nephew. Though very very far removed.
Do you think we'll ever get male alicorns?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
If the Ultra Fast Pony episode has a cheese wheel, could that be considered a shout out to this thread, or just a random gag?

I'm sorry to say, you've been eaten by a Grue.
Neither. It's just evidence of the all-encompassing power of cheese.
@Story: I don't think that "all alicorns are female" is an explicit rule of the setting, but due to the target demographic it wouldn't surprise me if it never comes up. I would think it's entirely possible, though.
Maybe Hasbro will decide that it needs a male alicorn love interest. I really hope they're not that stupid though.

I hope that doesn't happen...executive meddling could be a b**ch like that.

I'd be down for most things if they built it up right, the problem is that the show tends to have issues with long-term plots. It almost always tries to cram too much in and rushes the ending.
Making pancakes...making making pancakes.
I prefer waffles, but pancakes are good too.
I think it would be very hard to lead up to something like that. And marketing isn't that patient.

Sorry about the pancakes thing...I was thinking of Adventure Time while watching Regular Show.
I think waffles v pancakes depends on where you get them. Sometimes one is better, sometimes the other.

That's my dream. It's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor … and surviving.
I'd still like to see a magical filly episode. Barring that, a hope that Milky might one day get a series wen Lauran has time and a studio for it.

Just got back from the college and it was okay day for me. My mum mixed up the tickets and she ended up having to buy another entry ticket to get on the station and if that wasn't bad enough I accidentally went on the train and then end up in Reading and had to go back to the station Slough and then take the train to Windsor. And I did at least get a bit of work done so there's that. Now I can pretty much put my feet up knowing it's the weekend.
