Heh, funny. That scene where Apple Bloom cuts a circle out of a cloud that Rainbow Dash is sleeping on; that's the only time Dash is seen in the entire episode.

I like to imagine that she slept through the entire crisis.

That would imply she slept through two whole days. Not exactly a far fetched thing to imply though.

Well, being patient and not being proactive are two different things. All things in moderation, yeah? I've got a feeling that she isn't going to try anything like that ever again, so lesson learned.

They have fun with this whole crusading thing, even if it hasn't gotten results yet.

I think the problem is that it was pretty clear that the end was a joke lampshading the CMC Aesop Amnesia. It's especially grating when we have already seen that the CMC in situations outside of their usual crusading.

I loved that too. I swear she sounded NOTHING like Pinkie Pie when she started breaking down.

Strange how she sounded more stressed here than in Return Of Harmony

Honestly by this point I think their crusading has evolved into little more than 'Let's hand out and do fun stuff'. Yeah, Applebloom got bummed out she didn't get a cutie mark, but that's only because her hopes got up. It got thrown in her face, and all that.

I mean, really. Bowling is fun, but what kind of a little girl wants to grow up to be a professional bowler?

Could look at it as the CMC's simply like the doing stuff together, trying to get there cutie mark is just an excuse they use to hang out and come up with new things to do. So Applebloom's Aesop was to just be patient and not try and rush it, then she goes right back to crusading, but simply for the fun of playing with her friends, not JUST to get a cutie mark. Kind of a "it's not the destination, it's the journey that matters" thing.

Yeah, the other two seemed to have already understood that at episode's start, but Applebloom still needed to figure that out.

On the surface, it looks like a straightforward case of Completely Missing the Point, but it's not quite that.

Well, I don't know. I mean I can see someone saying "I want to be an athlete when I grow up", but it just seems weird to focus on bowling, at that age. It seems like th kind of thing that comes to you much later in life, like, your teens at least.

But then, I don't really get people growing uop wanting to be things like dentists, but it still happens.
