I think whatever is in Pinkie's head at any given moment is about fifteen steps removed from whatever she's constantly doing.
I think the main problem with word association with Pinkie Pie would be getting her to stop at the first association.
One wonders how she is capable of the most basic communication.
Right now she's probably guessing what my favourite flavour of Ice Cream is and then comes to the conclusion of it being vanilla with nuts when really it's chocolate or just because she can try and get a bunch of ducks to dress up in Sailor's outfits and then get them to quack the tune of Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. And knowing Pinkie Pie, she's going to be doing that right now.
