Sure I can listen to music. I usually don't because I need to listen out for instructions but that's becoming less and less of a problem.

Well actually he's not completely ok. Looks out after number one. For example, we're not going to the shops for your lunch lads. We're going to a chip van around the corner that is actually closed at the moment but it gives me free cups of tea for taking their rubbish, despite that being against the rules.

But yeah, I've worked with people who just make you... uncomfortable to be around before. There's a girl a little ways away from me where I work who has just the tiniest bit of a lisp... but has No Indoor Voice, which turns it straight from 'no problem' to 'my god shut up'.

I actually thought she was a lead at first because she's always talking to the leads, but no, apparently she just really likes to talk to them.

I've had exactly one experience with a snack van, almost 20 years ago on a job. Bought some Reese's peanut butter cups that must have been part of the original production run, whenever that was. Seriously, the things were almost petrified.

See I think he thinks 'quiet mild mannered (former but he doesn't know that) student is easy pickings'. He doesn't know my background. Or my connections (read: scary boarder line gangster cousin and his squad of armed heavies).

About three quarters of the guys there have some sort of criminal record. This guy is actually here as a get back to work after prison scheme. He's a small time low life. The sort I've spent a lot of time beating up, and the sort my cousin feeds off regularly.

Also, seems another bit of "Evil evil Hasbro never doing anything but making the show worse" is shot down with yet another bit of Executive Meddling that turned out to be a big hit. Turns out it was because of them the Zecora speaks in rhyme, they wanted some sort of unique personality trait for the character.

Here in SA, we call both "fries" and "crisps" "chips". Can be a bit confusing. When we need to distinguish, we add brand name or something, or call fries "slap chips" or call "crisps", well ... "crisps".

Also, Zecora speaking in rhyme is a decision I approve of. Especially as it's helping make my version of zebra culture interesting. Though it also makes writing zebra speech a mission!

Honeslty I'm not sure I'd call Zecora's speaking in rhyme 'better'.

Not that it's bad, per se, and it is certainly unique, but frankly it still strikes me as odd that she does it and it probably limits the way her dialogue can be used overall.

Just an odd element of the show, really. Interesting that Hasbro suggested it, though.

I wonder if someone was tempted to write her in Ebonics at first just to dick with them.

We do the same in Canada, usually. Well, we usually refer to fries as chips when they accompany something, ie. Fish n' Chips. Though then again, it may just be my family - my grandparents were scottish immigrants, so a lot of slang still carries over.
