Personally, I'd say it wasn't his animation itself that was an issue. It was more he didn't trim down sequences at all, so the whole thing was bloated and jokes dragged on for too long. To say nothing of having an acid trip plot that was pumped full of memes.

Yeah, it really needed to be edited. Even without the grautitous memes, the pacing was atrocious.

Funny you should say that... I've been pondering a fic that asks that exact question, among others. It's got something to do with the Equestrians trying to invent radio, and the researchers finding their experiments repeatedly interrupted because music from our universe keeps leaking in.
I'm just stuck on trying to figure out which song should be the first "broadcast from another universe" the ponies hear.
Until you have a MAJORITY of the fans screaming and damning the creators to hell for what they're doing wrong, it's not a real fandom.
