@Calnos: I read that story! I think it was called Twilight's Best Friend, or something.

It was stupid, and I knew it was gonna be stupid from the line, "Don't worry Spike, there's no such thing as murder". I read it for an MST3K style thing with ponyfics.

As for pokemans... probably rock or ground something. Ground/Ice maybe?

Charity, of all things. Somehow a tie-in novel about a character from a cartoon would coincidentally include the name of a fanfiction character invented by another character from the same show, in a fan-made video.

Well, this is going to spawn some creepy fanfics. Either that or it's going end with a "you need to find your own style rather than shamelessly copying someone else's", which would be perfectly in character for Rarity.

It's really not much of a stretch. The names sound similar, and Rarity's element is Generosity, so it's a really suitable name. Not surprising that multiple people ended up using it.

Much as I disliked Twilight Sparkle's Best Friend, I think it could be done decently enough... I mean, the apprentice thing is a neat angle, and it makes the overall motivation more understandable - I've admired writers enough to try and emulate or adopt traits, so image for a fashionista makes a lot of sense. Plus, again, Apprentice. That means worldbuilding! Probably.

For those of you who don't know, I'm currently working on a fanfic video series known as My Dimensional Ponies it's about a normal British teenage boy called Bradley Cooper whose tired of his desk job and his life in general and wishes for something to happen in his life. He unknowingly gets his wish granted when he gets a package that he didn't order in the mail and finds a crystal inside. No sooner does he pick up the crystal something strange happens to him, in a flash of light, Bradley is then send hurtling through a vortex to another world where he ends up in a dark, and ghastly castle which unforunately for Bradley the castle is inhabitated by Discord who has corrupted the castle under his influence. How's the story so far?
