In other news, I might have to stop drawing AJ for the moment. She's hard to do.

So, I got and read the latest issue of Pony Comic last night.

It's really good! Not super great or anything, and it certainly has it's fair share of problems - it's a gag comic so it's more conerned with getting as many jokes out as possible than actual plot, leading to the whole thing feeling pretty rushed along, and a lot of stuff feeling like it could use more building on - what was Luna actually doing at the festival, and why did nopony choose to so much as comment on her? Or her guard, for that matter, who nopony actually saw after the introduction last time? Where did the CMC get a trebuche, or build one(For that matter, Sweetie's characterization bothered me a bit. Too heavy on the ditz)?

Still, the jokes themselves were funny(I especially liked Octavia and Harpo near the middle), and the art was great as always. Overall, a really good addition to the series.

Even in the show, things tend to appear from offscreen with no explanation.

Equestria Girls: I will be very surprised if there aren't a ton of dark fanarts of Sunset Shimmer doing something with that Sledgehammer. Is there a such trope as Memetic Weapon?

@Kegisak: If they can build a working parade float overnight, I think building a trebuchet wouldn't be too much of an issue.

@AL: Yeah, taking a break from a character you're stuck on can help you figure out what you want to do with it when you come back. If I might make a recommendation, I know you like the apple-shape idea for AJ, but I'd drop it. I really feel like AJ should have wider hips, and her shape just isn't going to read as an apple no matter what unless you take her legs out of the equation. Until then, she's more like a carrot.

I think you're right. As much as the apple body shape would have been good for a pun, it just doesn't seem to be working out right.

P.S: If a better artist here could draw a good apple shaped woman figure as a reference I would really appreciate it.

I just watched the latest Fi W. It's a bit weird. I realyl liked the ladder joke though.

Despite my problems as mentioned, I still enjoyed it. Some of the humour may be a bit too dark for it's own good, but I don't they've Jumped the Shark at all.

God this heat is just killing me.....but I'm still gonna keep shouldering on and chatting to you guys. Actually now that I'm here there's a fanfic series that I want to work that'll be a web video series that's related to this show. So I'll need some feedback on the synsopis before I go ahead with the idea. So any takers?
