Even if the writers were allowed to read fanfics (they're not), that would be impossible due to Animation Lead Time. Fallout Equestria was first put out during the summer break between season 1 & 2 and episodes are written a year in advance with voice acting coming shortly after. "Luna Eclipsed" aired in October 2011, which means it would have been written around the time the show just started to air, before there was even a fandom to write fanfics.

Well, no clue about what the animation's for, but the song's nice.

Its a fan-made music video that's been long in the making. The animatic was released like a year ago, and I know some fans were looking forward to it.

It shows Princess Luna kidnapping a dozen kids and ends with Celestia waking up from a nightmare and then looking at the moon. But Luna sings such a pretty song!

@Calnos: Well, that was nice. The implied story there is kinda creepy. Luna never really struck me as a kidnapper (and the intro implies that they got some serious stockholm syndrome), but the animation was pretty good and the song was pleasant.

That said, it looked like most of those kids were ones who didn't have families, or wouldn't really be missed. The hobo kid, the orphans, etc. If she picking these kids who have noone else, and then actually giving them some care, then it's pretty reasonable they'd like her.

Still creepy, though.

Maybe their the bat ponies? They're transformed as a blessing of sorts.

Edit: And boy howdy, the song sounds miles better from a rip.

I think that might be the point. According to the animators this is their take on the origin of Nightmare Night and what set Luna on the path to becoming Nightmare Moon. And consider the inspiration (the one in the video is a cover based on the original poem)

Yeah, the artist said that Luna wants to help Canterlot's orphans. It's not a kidnapping, she's taking them somewhere where they'd be happier, probably.

I'm not a big fan of Human in Equestria fics, but a George Costanza in Equestria fic, or a Kramer in Equestria fic would be amazing.
