Well, my first name is Irish, so it's not all that strange.

More seriously though, I already use my real name for the Google hangouts, so no real point in hiding. My name is Samuel Pate (though I prefer just Sam, and please, no jokes about Green Eggs and Ham).

@Syd: It's pronounced the way it looks. "Pate", "pait", "payt", etc. You wouldn't believe how many people try to overcomplicate it (I've heard it pronounced "pa-tay", "pat" and "patty" before).

@Kegisak: It would have been a double first name. It was basically a joke based my bizarre background. My parents were raised Mennonite (hence the "Menno") and I grew up in the inner city (hence the "Jamall"). I'm pretty sure they were never serious about naming me that. I hope.
