Man. When did all the creepy pony artists start sucking so bad? L Ike ten pages, and I only found this meager crop. Even the crappy mspaint Cupcakes pictures have somehow gotten worse.

This one is my favorite, and the only one that actually needs the grimdark tag in my opinion.

@ CDRW: Yeah, I'm actually disappointed lack of actual stuff that I'd qualify as truly creepy. As you demonstrated, a lot of them go too far and become parody. The first one you posted, though was pretty good. The Apple Bloom I posted gets me a bit because of the implication that she's mentally unwell without becoming excessively cartoonish.

I wish I could do the arts so I could show everybody how creepy the depths of my mind is.

I think I'll dig through my deviantart favorites folder to see if I've got any creepy pics there worth posting. Probably not, because the creepy pics generally don't come from DA.

Only grimdark if you know the reference.

Not creepy, but a pretty compelling "Oh shit" moment.

This is not creepy at all simply because THE ARTIST DOESN'T HAVE ANY FREAKING CLUE WHAT A CELLO LOOKS LIKE. And I think the rest of the drawing could have been done better as well.

Actually, I kinda think I could. The concept and pose are simple enough. Where the difficulty comes in for me is the sheer amount of time it would take for me to get the lineart and shading right. I can see what it should be, I just haven't developed the skill to create it in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time.

@Syd: Wow, why would they take that approach with the doll? With the ears and such, I mean. On one level I understand, but on another I'm baffled. Still, there are uglier dolls.

@ CDRW: Of those, I think I like the astronaut Luna the best.

That's always been my problem with drawing as well. I'm sure I could churn out something decent but it would take forever and there are just too many other things I'd rather do with that time.

I agree with you there. To me, she looks like someone who was on the tail end of a long, strenuous, and mentally exhausting job right when the worst Oh Shit thing that could possibly happen did.

Agreed. Have you ever seen the "Cabbage Patch Kids" dolls that came out in the 80's? Those things were butt-ugly.

Exactly, she's spent god only knows how much time in an inhospitable environment, protected only by a pressurized suit and then the oxygen line springs a leak. At that juncture there's absolutely no hope and she knows it.

BTW, are there any deceased famous people that you guys can easily picture being bronies if they were still alive today? From everything that I've heard of him, I think that Freddie Mercury from Queen probably would have liked the show, and Pinkie would have been his favorite given some of the personality simularities between the two.
