The best thing about My Little Dashie IMO?

The way the cast's attitude towards the protagonist changes over time. When they first arrive they're downright condescending towards him, and it's clear that they think very little of the guy (Rarity even ridicules him at one point, leading to him almost punching her), but after he tells them the story of his life with RD, they end up being just as sad over forcing the two apart as RD and him are. I thought it was a sweet detail

I don't see any problem in starting with Boast Busters, although I've never tried it as an intro episode myself. I've personally had good luck with Swarm of the Century (despite losing the little bit of continuity with Zecora from Bridle Gossip. Although part of its success might be that the two people I showed it to picked up on the similarity to that Star Trek Tribbles episode) and Winter Wrap Up. I also had success with the pilot episodes, but the guy there was pretty open minded to begin with.

So finally found the perfect episode for introducing this show: 29, Lesson Zero. Its got rainbow-colored nuclear detonations and Fluttershy kicking a grizzlies' ass - not to mention its one of the funniest of episodes I've seen so far. Perfect for tempting a manly man to watch some more.

It had all sorts of things! Rarity's parents... who's names we don't know and the species of one we can't tell... And it gave us Dinky's sister!...which caused the fandom to speculate for days on end coming up with how she fits into the Derpy family..

Yeah, the episode raised more questions than answers.

Seriosuly, the fandom needs to accept that the multitude of background characters just get recycled as stand ins for whatever role the animators and writers need them for.

All the fanon means nothing.

It's amusing and makes nice fanart, but it means absolutely goddamn nothing and pissy little fanboys need to get over and not throw a tantrum when in-show footage conflicts with their "precious" fanon.
