Hey, would any of you guys be interested in a forum RPG where everybody plays as a different alien race of their own design in a forced First Contact scenario? The premise is that members of several different alien races who all thought they were alone in the universe suddenly find themselves inexplicably coming to consciousness aboard a starship. The ship has no power, and for all anybody can tell, is completely abandoned except for them.

That's part of the mystery. For some reason, there is no language barrier. Everybody can read all the writing in the ship and understand all the words that everyone else speaks.

Though I would like to join (and my busy mind just came up with an alien) I doubt I could join, I have other R Ps and I also need a bit of a time buffer in case of unexpected stuff.

Yeah, I'd come up with a few interesting alien concepts as well. Like a species that was prey to a hunter that relied on hearing, and developed skin pigmentation that allowed them to communicate by drawing patterns and colours on their skin. Now that would be a treat to translate to.

Cool Dark, How's it coming? On the topic of fanfiction, I might just try writing a fic based on that heist/caper scenario I laid out a few days ago. The only problem is it's ben years since I've actually done any sort of creative writing and I've been lacking motivation to do much of anything lately.
