The confirmation part wasn't a post, it was in the extra interveiws with her filmed but not used for the Documentary. She flat out stated her goal for Twilight from the start was that she would be Princess Celestia's successor. now while she didn't say anything about becoming an alicorn, it does mean she was going to become a princess.
