About the Canterlot aristocrats speaking RP, it first annoyed me when I saw Sweet and Elite, especially because the Princesses don't speak that way themselves (so it didn't make sense to me that the nobles wouldn't try to imitate the way the princesses speak). I also simply disliked the whole "give the snobby characters the RP accent" thing and the fact that we never heard them speaking like that in earlier episodes that had Canterlot in it. Then I thought that perhaps what we were hearing in Sweet and Elite was a fad that Fancy Pants started because the nobles were imitating his speech, and he may not even be from Canterlot originally (perhaps he's from Trottlingham like Pipsqueak). Luna and Celestia, on the other hand, are ancient (at least 1, 000 years old) and don't necessarily get influenced into changing their speech to fit every fashionable fad that comes up amongst the Canterlot nobles (and Luna even had trouble adjusting to newer word usage and lowering her volume, much less changing her accent).

Celestia takes pains to keep her mode of speech casual outside of formal announcements. Luna apparently hasn't had the chance to learn that.

Because the drawfiend who's doing these is getting it done at a rate of one per week (and not faster). So far /mlp/ anon has been the bottom as far as Fluttershy and Rarity were concerned.

I actually don't mind because it's all done in-character, and isn't actually crappy.

I couldn't find rarity on derpibooru though. The preview for her is there, but then the next image in that set is the preview for trixie.

"YOU WILL CUM INSIDE ME!" flutterage was pretty funny, though.

They didn't upload the individual pics yet lol. It's still the thread archive composite they've got up so far. (also next week: Trixie)

ok, fimfiction is going all weird on me. the featured box had an update to a story I'm following, but it wasn't showing up in my updates tab.

so when I unfollowed and then refollowed the story, it showed up.

this isn't the first time either, I missed the update to Shades of Twilight because it didn't show up either.

How many other updates have I been missing?!

now I have to got through my entire favorites list to double check things...

Odd, I didn't get the update for Shades of Twilight either. I only saw it because the update posted on my watchlist for the author, not for my faving the actual story.

None of my Watched fics notify updates, I just regularly check my Watchlist manually to begin with.

It's supposed to notify you if any fic you Favorited gets an update. Worked for An Escort's Journal earlier, but not Shades of Twilight.

By the way, if you aren't yet, read An Escort's Journal, it is damn good. Yes it has sex scenes, no it is not a clop fic. The sex parts aren't the focus, and even during them the focus is more on how the character is feeling, thinking, not the actual sex. Plus the characters are just amazingly well written, story is compelling and great, really go check it out
