From the sounds of things, anti-cop sentiment is high over there at the moment, and given the nature of a lot of your friends I'm guessing you live in an area where it's going to be more prevalent. IF you were only going a short distance the cop probably caught you around there, which means she had reason to assume you probably weren't going to be all that friendly.

Was that right of her? Certainly not, and even if she was right about you she should have remained professional, but she's probably feeling the pressure of the situation at the moment. Your friends are being harder on you because of the situation with the cops, and the cops are on edge because of the situation here. The only thing to do is to breathe deep, step back and calm down. Let it blow over. Most importantly, keep in mind it's not a competition between cops and regular people - the force may attract thugs but it's still inherently their job to protect people. They have your best interests at heart... it's just a bad time to be a cop.

Well said keggy. I do have serious problems with authority, despite being largely rule abiding. I'm just hot blooded too.

I am so glad for air conditioning right now.

I didn't get much sleep either, mainly because my air conditioner is broken and it's muggy as all hell. I feel like crap. Pretty much survived work solely due to the fact that Mountain Dew was available.

@Apple: What Keg said, basically. The cops are probably acting like that because of all the anti-cop sentiment. The best thing you can do is not contribute to that.

Praise be to the holy air conditioner. With it's mighty vents it provides comforting drafts at reasonable temperatures. With it's cunningly wrought thermostat it commands the godly machine. And when it's divine breezes cease their cooling air and the majestic fans silence their titanic hum, then the repairman shall descend from his lofty truck and ply his noble trade.

Seriously, everything is sticky now. It sucks.

I've been able to get by so far with the air conditioner running on "fan" mode. I guess that won't last much longer, though. JT's weather is headed my way.

it's 80 Farenheit where i am now. i'm glad it's finally starting to warm up, but i'll be getting thunderstorms for the next three days. -__-

That's adorable.

It's currently hovering at about 27 C in my bedroom, but judging by how last summer went it'll eventually spike up to the mid-thirties. I kinda feel like that may have been responsible for my lack of sleep last night.

I wish it would storm here. I love storms. But yeah, right now it's just humid. Eugh.

My vocabulary has failed me! I'm trying to come up with a word that expresses the emotion conveyed by Flat "What.".
