There were the occasional times the wiki server went down for an hour or so, but nothing that really foreshadowed the big crash. I don't remember too many of the details, just that I got back from work that day to find that the forums looked like someone had turned back the clock on them because a bunch of posts and threads had disappeared. Then it became clear that the entire wiki had been affected the same way: all the new pages and wiki edits from the past five months or so were just gone.

Did the entire server revert to an old backup?

The main server had failed catastrophically, and the backup was corrupted, so we did indeed have to revert to an old backup.

@ J Teeth, yeah it's already been confirmed that issues 9-12 won't be big grand adventure, but rather two separate two issue more slice of life stories. The first one being about Big Mac.
