I just lack the time. There are so many ideas I have I actually have a document somewhere solely for listing all the plot bunnies I have that I think are worth following up on.
Same here except that I don't even bother writing them down since I know I'll never get the time.

Why a flash drive? Sticking it in a google doc or similar is more convienent.

I'd lose the flash drive. I can remember most of the headcanon stuff anyway, and it's constantly changing anyway. Until I actually use it in a story it isn't too important to have it all categorized.
