@Apple: yeah, Carnifex is a great artist :D
The moon doesn't have an atmosphere, so Luna wouldn't be able to smell anything.
She also wouldn't be able to breathe, but let's ignore that.

Smart bunch, Time Lords. No dress sense, terrible hats, but smart.
They pulled the moon down into the atmosphere though.

Wouldn't that destroy the world?

Luna is the Canterlot Breath-holding Champion.
@Dalek: Didn't destroy Termina, so I doubt it'd be bad for Equestria :V
@Sereg: They pulled the moon closer, I'm not convinced that we know enough to say for sure it actually entered the atmosphere, and even if they did Rarity was up there prior to that point anyway.
I do wonder how Luna kept herself entertained for 1000 years. After a while, stargazing just isn't going to cut it.

I felt the same about Trixie's ending in Magic Duel, it felt very abrupt, but they put enough pathos into her that it actually worked and was rather heartwarming. Personality is usually what saves the show, maybe that's why Sombra in the Crystal Empire is such a sore spot for many.

@literal playing of Vinyl: Hmm... that does seem painful to Vinyl. I now have an idea for in case a pony comes by! -readies comb-
It's a Demonic Lighthouse Slide! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I beg of you, Durza, make it so.

Cleaning staff is too expensive. Much easier to replace everything after one use.
Staffs are way overpriced in general. Wands aren't too bad though.

@Yeller: I still lol at mages that are cripplingly dependant on foci to cast spells. You shouldn't need a fancy stick to pull mana and shape it :V
Good thing we have Eidetic Spellcaster and Eschew Components then.
