I just love the caption for the last photo and one of the comment:

Sure it's all good in theory but you can't really use this information until you actually get a pony up to Mach 4.8. Only then can we start building fighter jets made entirely out of horses.

Huh, that cracked article is surprisingly good natured. Guess that's what happens when you have an actual author do it rather than crowd-sourcing the thing.

Because it's pretty much our only source of information on backstories that's semi-official. I hardly consider it canon, but I'm willing to roll with most of it unless the show contradicts it at some point. I could easily see Trixie going to the school for Gifted Unicorns and not doing very well, leading to her learning stage magic instead.
