@Kyler: I think it's also to help kids remember the characters, since the names are kind of difficult in Japanese.

Actually, now that I think about it, it might have something to do with the fact that someone's name could be written a number of different ways depending on what kanji it uses, even if it's pronounced the same way.

I think it was a good example of how to do Pinkie gags right without making her obnoxious like in Feeling Pinkie Keen or A Friend In Deed.

I just, don't care about them. It's the exact same thing, If I want to rewatch the show, I'll do it in English, not have to worry about reading subtitles. I mean I'm interested in how they change stuff, but not that much. I get my pony fix from the books, comics, and fan works.

The closest I've ever come to that was watching Spanish L Ps of my game. I couldn't understand anything they were saying, but I figured I should at least watch them to see what they did and if any bugs turned up.
