Sarcasm can be used for lying, just like normal speech can be used for lying. Neither is inherently dishonest.

That's one thing that Ditzy Doo and the bronies have in common: they were not supposed to exist.
In theory, anyways. She's still outright terrible at deception. Still, if she could fit it into her moral standing she could benefit greatly from understanding the difference between lying and not telling the truth. IF someone asks her if she's a woman, for example, and she answers no, well, it's hardly her fault that the asker incorrectly conflates mare with woman.
I think that could be one of Applejack's secret strengths. Everyone assumes that since she's the Element of Honesty, that she can't lie, so she could bend that to her advantage.
But she is honest.

Well, I interpret things a bit differently. I don't think she can bend the truth because that would still be dishonest to the person, but can instead tell a different unrelated truth to the exact answer. Basically, she tells a different truth, but still something honest, just not telling them necessarily the answer they want to here. Also I think her tendency for brutal honesty has been underused. Hopefully I'm making some sense, I just woke up from a nap so I'm still a bit shaky.
