@ crimson: It looks like this is his first post on any of the forums.

@kegisak: it seemed like a general hospital/rehab center, since they had Screw Loose as a patient.

@syd: really? well, this is an interesting development.

@kegisak - Fast transportation...

Hmm, on that note, how long does a train-ride from Ponyville to Canterlot is suggested to take? I always had a feeling that it was within 30 minutes.

Also, is the train faster than pegasi?
That's one thing that Ditzy Doo and the bronies have in common: they were not supposed to exist.

Compared to the hospitals I've seen in larger cities, it doesn't seem so big, especially if all the various wards are housed in that building. Where I am a lot of the separate sections of the hospital would each have a building of comparable size. If that one building houses the surgical facilities, emergency rooms, birthing centers, etc. it's not too big for the town.

[up]Honestly, it varies pretty widely. In some episodes it only takes like an hour or so, but then you have stuff like "MM Mystery", where it's an overnight trip.

@d Roy: I reckon the Friendship Express cannot beat any particularly well-trained pegasus.

I think it's just inconsistent. In "MMMMystery on the Friendship Express", the trip to Canterlot lasted all night, with enough time the morning after for Twilight and Pinkie's sleuthing, and for the cooks to cobble the bits and pieces of their desserts together into a single cake-monstrosity, all before arriving.

I actually didn't notice this. I would call Plot Hole, but since I loved that episode so much I am going to let it pass.

I like to think they took a longer route up the gentler side of the mountain instead of the usual path.

I don't think it is physically possible to take a 30 minutes trip into a nightlong one.

@Ace: that could make sense. what if they took an express train in some episodes, and the longer scenic route in others?

Scoots is looking at that thing a little too intently.

Wow, words just can't express how awesome Harmony Theory is. The writing's great, the characters are well-done, and it nails Rainbow Dash down perfectly.

[up][up] There is a joke I can make, but for the sake of my (pretty much non-existent) dignity, I will withold.

You know what we should do again? Choose a pony and have a page full of that pony as avatars.

Pinkie's hair is made of a strange material that can cause a cello to jump all the way from bass clef up to a treble.

I have(Well, had) to wait for a build to cook. It didn't require much attention paying (I actually watched an episode of Transformers Prime at one point).

Well you should still check it once in a while in case it crashes or gives a compile error or something. Or finished unexpectedly quickly.

@Crimsonstorm: Yeah, BDR's pretty well-known. I for one am sick of the various controversies stirred up around them.
I'm 8ad, and that's good. I will never 8e good, and that's not 8ad. 8ecause there's no one I'd rather 8e... than me.

Yeah, he's one awesome guy. Too bad we've only got about two years left for the voice. Still, he has promised he'll finish Doctor Whooves and Assistant first.

In my own fanfiction career, I've taken that advice to heart and I only talk about unwritten portions of my stories in the vaguest of terms. For Alarm Clock, the first thing I ever said to anybody about it was, "Has someone already done a fanfic about Derpy being able to see magic and other dimensions?" The very next thing I said about my story was, "I've written two chapters; can I get some feedback?"

Another advantage is that you can change things and noone will ever know.

Oh, awesome. The Third Generation's updated. Came close to thinking the fic had died.

Very true. The third act I have planned for Alarm Clock is completely different from what I had in mind when I started writing, and I came up with it in response to pre-reader comments on the first chapters.
