Can we please not get into yet
another discussion on whether or not the sun-moving thing means Celestia is absurdly powerful? We've already established that astronomy works so differently in Equestria that comparisons between the Equestrian sun and our sun are pretty much impossible.
Also, I know everybody likes to point out the comet thing, but I think that
the fact that ponies move the sun and moon trumps it. When literally the first thing established about the setting is that the sun and moon are directly manipulated by the characters, I think it pretty clearly establishes that
astronomy works very very differently in this setting.
As for ponies vs. humans in war, it's kind of a crapshoot because we've only seen the ponies in anything even remotely resembling warfare all of once, and even that isn't a very good indication. We have exactly zero frame of reference for how these things would interact. E.g. Shining Armor's shield. It's equally likely that a nuke would wreck that thing, or that a nuke would due all of jack shit to it because magic trumps physics. If it's the latter, a few ponies with force fields would neutralize most of our armaments, if it's the former, a few missiles would win the war. Without any meaningful data points it boils down to headcanon on how they would interact.
