I really loved dash hitting on AJ in Fallout Equestria, and AJ's reaction.

What annoys me most are the people who loudly claim that Dash, AJ, Gilda and Pinkie must be Lesbians just because they're good friends...and three of them are Tomboys. And Dashie's hair.

They wouldn't do it if they were all male characters.

I say, asexual 'till proven otherwise for all of them. But having said that;

Lyra/Bon Bon is cute.

I don't understand that ship, but yes, it is cute. It probably the only gay pairing I am ok with, mostly because we know nothing about them outside of fanon.

Given the shows target demographic as well as the Vague Age and Word Of God established eccentricities in pony's emotional/social development, it's entirely possible none of the mane cast have developed any orientation either way.

The only time we see one of them even hinting at being attracted to another pony was Rarity wanting the marry Prince Blueblood, and that had nothing to do with her feeling anything for him, but rather her wanting become a princess.

edit: as to Gilda, I'm totally in agreement with the clingy girlfriend vibe, but that can still gel with the above if we figure Gryphon's mature faster/Gilda is older and Gilda had a masive crush on RD, and RD was just to innocent to notice/reciprocate.

@ Red Savant: Well, we didn't manage to see NM's full power. Also, her plan of calling the eternal night would without a doubt cause Equestria to collapse and die, fast.

As for RD's orientation, I'm cool both with lesbian Dash, straight Dash, bisexual Dash, Gildasexual Dash and so on. I do recall that she was in love with Pinkie in Bittersweet, though it wasn't that important, I think.

Um... That's how the toys work. I don't know why My Little Pony fans keep acting surprised by it. They may have been slower than usual to come up with new poses for G4, though...

I actually like seeing how the G3 ponies are updated for G4, imagining old favorites coming back in a new world. Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that Skywishes is now a pegasus pony, considering that the story of the original Skywishes was that she was the first pony from Ponyville to meet a pegasus? Maybe that was her final special wish, to be able to fly on her own.

And yeah, it also occurred to me that the TV show could use some of those new versions of the classics as "foils", or at least a way for the show to poke fun of itself and previous MLP cartoons. Remember that whole "rival town" discussion? There could be another gang of six ponies there who cover the same diverse range of interests, but in truth are a lot less accomplished than they think of themselves, making announcements like "But we're not just any ordinary group of friends! We've been charged by Princess Luna herself to investigate the TRUE POWER of COMMUNITY SPIRIT!"

As for possible members of that gang, Minty could have the same sunny disposition of Pinkie Pie, but now suffers from confidence issues as everyone is well aware of how often she screws everything up. And hey, remember Rainbow Flash? That could be your parody of the original Rainbow Dash and Rarity, a unicorn who so loves producing rainbows everywhere that even Rainbow Dash is freaked out. Sunny Daze could make a good counterpart for the new Rainbow Dash, only her new appearance would be the grown-up version of that one baby doll they made. I had trouble deciding on the best foil for Twilight Sparkle, but then I noticed that Dewdrop Dazzle was already popular for that in the fandom. And then... I dunno who else, maybe add the orange bumblebee pony 'cuz she's cute.

Gilda did act like a Posessive Girlfriend yes...she was also acting like a kid. Kids do that kind of crap all the time (they're my friend!!! etc).

You know, I think this thread has been host to some of my more strange discussions on the internet.

For all we know there might not even BE sexual orientation as we know it amongst these ponies, they could be like a large portion of RL animals and simply completely ignore sex unless they go into heat.

Even if Dash is supposed to be a lesbian or bisexual, they would never come right out and say so in-show. Do young girls even care about such things?

Then again, I suspect this show now has attracted more Bronys than young girls.

Um, CDRW, I hate to be that guy, but assuming heterosexuality is the 'natural state of affairs' is seriously offensive. Putting colorful ponies aside entirely, it is not okay to say that.

^Theyll never say it outright, but that's okay, because we can then make our own assumptions.
