@Some New Guy: Read your review. Not bad. I agree RD's Character Development is one of the best parts of Season Three. Unless you count Twilight's development in the pilot, I think she's the best case of a Dynamic Character in the show.
On that subject, maybe another episode focusing on RD and Scootaloo would be good Season Four material.

In relation to another suggestion, it could also be an opportunity for more Divergent Character Evolution for the CMC. I'm hoping for at least some more individual episodes for them.

Seeing as Faust originally intended for Twilight to be Celestia's successor, and the current showrunners more-or-less did that, I can't help but hope that they're also using Faust's original plans for the rest of the characters' arcs.

I don't know, Chrysalis certainly seems more obsessed about Twilight these days. "Perfect little Twilight! Clever little Twilight! Brilliant little Twilight!" Makes me wonder if its all about revenge...
Also, if anyone takes offense to a happy go lucky pony playing the lyre, I give up America.

I'm hoping she was just gliding there, and she'll still need some help. Mostly because that's too good an episode premise to pass up and because I shamelessly ship Twidash. If nothing else, give us some scenes of RD trying to teach Twi a few of her tricks.

I'm thinking the coronation was maybe a week or two after the night of her ascension (a big ceremony takes some time to put together) and Rainbow showed her the basics of getting into the air in the mean time, but she could still learn some more stuff.
I mean, she flew straight into the fourth wall! Her head must hurt, talk about a Downer Ending!
