That is most definitely Derpy in it! One of the pictures shows her, Lyra and Diamond Tiara, and you can see that her eyes are "derped."

So Tavi and high-society pony get their own molds while Lyra becomes a Rarity Palette Swap, I see how it is Hasbro :P

Here's◊ a closer look at the Toys R Us Chrysalis. Sadly she appears to be a Nightmare Moon Palette Swap (she even has the shoes if you look closely). Her minifig◊ is unique, though.

It's the sort of thing that happens when you've been friends for a while. Nicknames and picking up each other's accents and stuff.

Well now that homework and other obligations are done for the day, I can finally voice my thoughts on this episode.

First of all, loved Pinkie, Rarity and Dashie this episode. Great moments for them, ...Twilight, Flutters, and AJ got put on the backburner.

So the good

• Rainbow Daddy, ...and just that whole bit, ...although now I want to see Fillydelphia

• Twilight's reaction as soon as they leave Spike

• Shining Armor's coaching

• Pinkie Pie's Big "NO!" reactions, never played straight at all

• Mustangia tourist

• Cadance's bad hairdo

As for the negatives

- Cadance still never got truly fleshed out, she's still kinda just there

- Rarity got sidelined for Rainbow Dash

- Would've been more interesting to see more of the Inspector as well

Nontheless this is the best episode since "Sleepless in Ponyville", ...definitely a step up from ironically enough "Just for Sidekicks"

Polsky has once again written out another masterpiece, ...though I have to admit, I totally thought Mc Carthy wrote this one. Probably one of the better Rainbow Dash episodes to.

That reminds me of another thought. The real reason that the Crsytal Empire won the games is because they wassted $20 billion on a fancy new stadium.

@Terl: If he had asked, they'd probably have brought him. They didn't because this is a business trip, not a vacation. They're going for the express purpose of helping welcome the inspector, and he has no reason to be interested in that. Besides, he's said in other episodes that he likes having the library to himself.

The guy in the flashback was totally Rainbow's uncle.

Since the big twist at the end of this season isn't even a secret anymore, I had time to think on it. And I realized this is basically Ultima. Twilight's going to find out at the end of this that she's the Avatar.

I just watched the new episode and although the plot had some weaknesses...this episode was absolutely hilarious.

Yeah. It wasn't a Best Episode Ever, but it's pretty much inoffensive nd funny. Not their best work nor their worst.

Yeah, the announcement is usually several years in advance - Rio has already been announced for 2016 - so with enough effort all the facilities can be built - and WELL built, in fact - in the time between announcement and commencement.

Spike clearly looked and sounded bitter that he couldn't go, so this "he likes to hold down the fort" argument is null and void, and secondly, Spike saved The Crystal Empire.

Look fine, there is a good fanon explanation, but a good canon one would've been harmless.
