@Pykrete: I would do that, but I prefer to have physical copies. I need stuff to fill up my pony shelf.

I really hope that petition is a joke.
And, since today is apparently National Jump To Conclusions Day...

@ Dark, oh yeah CEQ is amazing. Just be warned. The author is going through doing some revisions to the already written stuff. Think he's up to 15 on the revisions. So after that it'll shift tone a bit. And do NOT read anything bast the name "Briarthorn" being mentioned till it's revised. Trust me, you will regret having to deal with several chapters of that egomaniac, self centered, drunken, lecherous, useless, waste of pony flesh. Wait till he's been revised.

@ the petition, meh, even if not, so what. Keep in mind, someone actually put in a petition for the US to build the Death Star.

Yeah, the petition is a joke. There's a rule that if petitions get a certain number of votes the White House has to officially respond to them. So the point of the petition isn't to actually change the national anthem, its to get Obama to have to make an official statement about My Little Pony.

Loved their response to the Death Star one.

@dark. I second Seraph's recommendation. The story isn't without its problems, but it's definitely a good read. I'm particularly fond of the worldbuilding.

Can anyone recommend Crisis Equestria? From what I've heard it looks pretty cool though I haven't read any of it yet.

I wouldn't recommend it, but most people like it.

I was going to say that you should put a spoiler warning on that, but I guess it technically doesn't count since it's a fictional comic by Discord.

There's probably a couple of nuts that took it seriously, but adding up the numbers it's most certainly a joke.
Oh, the thread? Don't worry, it's just dead.

That's not the first pony-releated petetion to end up on that site. There was once a petetion to Ban All Bronies. And let's not forget, that same website also tried to get a statue of Master Chief built in front of the White House......

@Blissey 1: Sounds like you've got a bit of a Fanfic-overdose problem there. Shame too, cause I was gonna reccomend at least one or two more fics to ya.tongue

At least it'd be easier to sing. Star Spangled Banner demands a pretty extreme range for a song expected to be sung by laymen. Especially the drunken ones that originally composed the tune.

Opening politics to the internet? Of course you're going to get jokes.

I'm more interested in the eyepatch.

This reminds me of this.

Still, it would be nice if someone could ponify the lyrics.

@Freeman - I don't like the color scheme. I don't think they go well together.
