Will it be awesome? Signs say 'maybe'.
"I'm tired of walkin'. I wanna be wakin'."
I read "wakin'" as "wankin'".
Yeah, it's that time of the day again.

Again, this thread IS The Weird Place.
Goddamn it, Twilight, why you so cute.

How do you learn to do lucid dreaming anyway?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
@ story: I don't know if lucid dreaming can be learned. With me, it just started happening.

Not as fun as a thrustin' dream.
O...kay, I better stop.
Seeing how my brain is going batshit, it's time I go to sleep. Good night, folks.

Story meant dreams where you know it's a dream.

Yeah, keeping a dream journal is actually part of that. It trains you in remembering the dreams, slowly making you more aware. It's just one of the several things to do, though. Most of them are things like, focusing on what you want to dream about, drinking plenty, sleeping on your back, etc.
I find that familiar music helps. If it's quiet enough to hear in my dreams but not enough to wake me up, it'll let me know that I'm dreaming, and wake up any time. These last few days it's been a loop of
this chill out remix of Endless Possibilities
which is pretty relaxing. Then there's Robert Rich's magnum opus,
Somnium
which is over 6 hours and 52 minutes intended to be played right before sleep just above audibility preferably with speakers surrounding the bed to create a wall of sound. It's intended to create a soothing hum to help with relaxing dreams. It's wonderful to play if you can't fall asleep.

Some friends claim it to be a subtle form of
Nightmare Fuel as it's a bit creepy for some in it's soundscapes the first few listens. However, it does gradually drift from somewhat gloomy, to calm and peaceful into a dreamy confusion of soft sounds in the middle, then gradually going back to peaceful before giving rise to soft bird music as your waking up.

Somehow I wrote a complete chapter for a Fallout: Equestria sidefic. Nearly eight thousand words...
I had a sort of story idea where Luna teaches Twilight some basics of dream-walking (y'know, just because). She's overcome with curiosity one night and decides to poke around in Celestia's mind. As it turns out, the princess is
fully aware of her presence and can control her
Mental World via lucid dreaming, but rather than
eject her she
invites her into her (imagined) den for some casual conversation. From there, it can go a few ways:
- Twilight
continues to walk on eggshells to avoid upsetting Celestia, much to the chagrin of the latter (who would just like her to relax and spend a bit of time together, even if it is in a dream).
- Twilight delves a little deeper into Celestia's
Mental World and becomes
horribly, horribly lost; the rest of the story is Celestia trying to find her and guide her out.
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."
Doesn't drinking plenty just ensure that you wake up in the middle of a dream?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Why? Because you wake up in the middle of the night needing to pee?
I can't attempt to point you in her direction.
I didn't see her walking out of the door.
Throw in some passages from Finnegans Wake and it could work very nicely.

Isn't that what normally happens when you drink too much?

Night everypony, hopefully I'll get a visit from Luna, but I doubt it.
