Actually, Gummy managed to give one single fuck during this episode. He was angry at Angel right along with the rest of the pets at the Clubhouse. Angel is just so much of a jerk that he can get Gummy to emote.

When Spike gave Zecorra a gem for her help did she even do anything? She just said something about bad mojo then donated money to charity. I don't think that counts as helping.

When it became clear Spike was going to lose each of his gems one at a time I predicted he'd end up giving one to Cheerelee somehow. Didn't happen though. Have we even seen her once this season?

I talk to him occasionally, yeah.

So I just saw the episode - I really like it! I'm usually pretty ambivalent to Spike I'll admit, so I wasn't expecting much, but I really liked the setup and I thought it was pretty funny. There was a lot of really good background stuff, as it's been said before, and an interesting little bit of worldbuilding in ponies going to the Crystal Empire - it looks like it's become quite the tourist destination.
