Personally I don't think Spike can bake a cake if he plans on adding gemstones to it. His instincts seem to make it impossible.

Yeah, Spike needs to talk Twilight into baking him a cake if he ever wants to get one that actually has gems in it. Or at least ask her to mix the batter for him.

Actually, the gem thing is a bit of fridge brilliance if you assume that the red gem is worth more than the others. It looked like Rarity was being stingy by giving him a tiny gem, but if it was legitimately worth a lot (and it must have been to purchase that hairdryer), Rarity actually paid him pretty well. She just didn't anticipate that he only cares about the gems insofar as he wants to eat it, which is why he gave it up first.

I'll have to rewatch it later, but I'm pretty sure Carrot Top was hugging a purple haired pony she was last seen hanging out with in "The Last Roundup".

She's like, the background pony with the most consistent continuity. First she's hanging out with her sister Noi from "Sisterhooves Social" again in "Putting Your Hoof Down", and now she's with purple-haired-unicorn-fellow-who's-Fan Nickname-I-forgot again. Are they, like, taking notes on their own Funny Background Events to make them consistent or something?

@ JT, Wow, that does make sense. but, I'd say it's a bit unlikely for her not to know he want's to eat. Unless it's like some exotic gem, that while small, is extremely tasty.

Granted I don't know anything about Carrot Top fanon outside her connection to Derpy.

@JT: I like the idea that red gems are worth a lot. Its better than Rarity being stingy, she's supposed to be Generosity after all.
