@ Apple: Well, it sounds like you're well-prepared. I think you might even ace it. smile

I just got out of my Government class, where we watched a VERY graphic anti texting and driving PSA. I actually had to leave the room during it for fear that I was going to throw up.

I've seen some very unsettling anti-texting and driving PS As on TV, but it sounds like this one goes even further. I hope you don't have any nightmares about it. sad

Yeah, I hope the same. While I know that it helps curb people doing it, I really wish that they hadn't shown us flying glass, the girls in the car being jerked around, what sounded like slowed-down sound effects of bones breaking, and then the girl screaming and crying in horror because she was the only survivor in her car of the three-car wreck that resulted.

Yeah, those are nasty. sad

We get some nasty ones on the TV here, because drink driving is still epidemic.

Oh, the thread? Don't worry, it's just dead.

When I was in my mid-teens, I was the passenger in the car with my mom. Another driver coming the other way took a left turn right in front of us without looking. My mom slammed on the brakes, but we still collided.

My mom broke her foot. I came out of it without a scratch, at least physically. It left me terrified to drive. I didn't get my license until I was in my mid-20s.

Yeah, all the stuff that shows how stupid other drivers on the road can be can make a person terrified to drive or be in the car with someone else. I remember when my brother had gotten his license at first he texted while he drove and we nearly ran into a mailbox at one point. And it wasn't a regular "Box on a post" mailbox, it was a "Mailbox encased in a brick pillar" mailbox. He's stopped now thankfully, but I still get onto my parents and whatnot whenever they take out their phone while they're behind the wheel.

It's also the reason why I prefer subways. There will always be at least one idiot in your vicinity when you're out on the street, but on the subway, or the bus, or walking, that idiot is not controlling a two ton hunk of metal.

Yeah. With text walkers all you can count on is just a bump and possibly a fall, which is a hell of a lot better than a wreck because the guy behind the wheel was texting.

Ugh, I always hated those Scare 'Em Straight PSA things. The message always came across less as "be a safe driver" and more "you can't leave your house without getting killed by a drunk".

Hey guys.

My internet is down. It won't be back until Monday. I'm using a crappy wireless dongle to tell you.

I won't be able to do the 19th Jan episode until the 21st, and that's not assured.

RE: Cakelestia - That is my single favorite shot in the entire show, period.

Damn, I loved Ponyville Confidential so much. I should watch it again sometimes.
