Obviously, we should all stop jumping to the conclusion that other people are jumping to conclusions.

@Sereg: Fire Resistance can be overwhelmed by more fire, as any fire mage of sufficient skill (Chandrar and Jaya Ballard say hi) can tell you. The primal force of a Sun is certainly enough to bypass the damage resistances of Senior Dragons, it'd take a literal Dragon God to resist the Sun's might.

@Sereg Basically, they never demonstrate the powers that you claim they have, which is why I think you're jumping to conclusions.

Also, random thought, but given how strong you think Celestia is, Dragons being even stronger has me imagining things approaching Gurren Lanann levels of power, and therefore that level of ridiculous over-ther-top-ness.

You just can't see all the awesomeness because of the Anti-Spirals. They're like the Man, keeping everyone down.

As for Luna. Requirements to be able to visit every dream of every one of her subjects. If she doesn't, she's failing her duty.

@Sereg: Any reason time dilation in the dream-verse can't be a thing?

I say every species has a few examples of a super variant, ponies have Alicorns, Changelings have whatever Chrysalis is. I imagine the super dragon would be able to fight Celestia on equal footing.

Yeah, I read that as "It's my duty to patrol dreams and help my subjects out as much as my abilities allow". Nothing about it implies that being in everyone's dream simultaneously.

But enough about that.

In other news, last night me and one of my brony friends attempted to get another one of our friends into ponies. It was a bit of a tough sell, but we got him to sit through eight episodes, and I'm pretty sure he enjoys it more than he lets on. He's still in the but it's My Little Pony part of the process, and according to my other friend he's starting to get over it. At the very least, he recognizes the appeal of the show and gets why it's popular, so go us.

@Sereg: Her duty is to monitor and give aid where it's needed, not watch everyone's every dream with her full attention. She's on guard duty, not a goodwill tour. (Though it's some of both.)

@Spike discussion

I think that while Spike is basically immune to swords, spears, pikes, bullets, and the like, he'll go down like a sack of spuds at blunt force trauma, like a maul, a warhammer, or a direct artillery hit.

He's also somewhat vulnerable against magic, but he can still shrug it off.

But that's my own view.

@Sereg It's a police officer's duty to stop stop and prevent all crime. Does the fact that they can't be everywhere at once mean that they're failing their duty?

As for Spike, he was more or less a minor annoyance to the Diamond Dogs, but he's definitely not useless. The comic further demonstrates his combat prowess when he lights a Changeling on fire, and then proceeds to run away being chased by a very pissed off Changeling.

Indeed. The only reason we didn't follow up with Lesson Zero is because it was like 2:30 in the morning. I pretty much know for a fact he would have loved that one, but it's so much better when you're familiar with the cast.

And while my other friend (Who's already a brony) was here, I gave him a Pinkie Pie plush for Christmas. I still owe him for managing to get me a Derpy.

@Perpetual Lurker: I still think that Discord is the strongest character in the verse. And he's just a solar system reality warper (with some other powers thrown in).

@Kyler: Even with time-dilation, she'd still skip some dreams.

I must admit that this may be due to me being a fan of Ajimu. She's not the most powerful character in the Medaka Boxvere, but she has just under 13 quadrillion powers. These include 1. Universal reality warping 2. time manipulation 3 rewriting history 4. effective omnipresence 5. nullifying other powers 6. the power to always be stronger than her enemy 7. the power to make people die by seeing her 8. the power to hurt all your loved ones as she hurts you 9. petrification... etc. IIRC, we know about 700 of her powers so far.

Lesson Zero would've killed, but I see what you mean.
