I must have misinterpreted; to me it sounded like "I'd call her The Wesley like she is and this would get me torn apart because people don't like hearing negative tropes pointed at characters they like".

I'd say she fits HALF of the criteria for being a Wesely. She does seem to be adored by the writers moreso than other characters, given how prone she is to stealing the spotlight from others

Pinkie just can't read a situation very well, unless very obvious.

Yes, we obviously saw Luna's reactions of being shunned by the children, but Pinkie didn't, having too much fun scooting chickening around.

And she generally has a poor judgement of character. Throwing a party for the Jerk Ass Gilda, anyone?

Not pranking Fluttershy is justified since it's assumed she has known her for quite some time, with both of them living in ponyville and Fluttershy's meekness is obvious enough for even Pinkie.

But yeah, Pinkie needs a little less air in her head.

I think it seems like that since Pinkie is the quick-go-to-comic-relief for the writers when they feel they're in a bind.

Now, maybe it's my dislike for Pinkie shining through, but I must have misinterpreted the Party scene from "Griffon" to a tremendous degree.

I always assumed that Pinkie KNEW about all the pranks, and she'd set things up to indirectly humiliate Gilda and reveal her true nature to dash. It was NEVER about trying to make Gilda lighten up, she was just pulling some Light Yagami style shit

Do remember that she threw that party in attempt to improve her attitude. Pinkie knows Gilda is a pain in the neck, and a party was her way of fixing that issue. The effectiveness of the method may be questionable, but I believe her intent was clear.

Not to me, I had to watch the episode 6 times before I noticed that.

Yes, I know throwing a party for Gilda was Pinkie just being Pinkie.

Still, I think it accounts for bad judgement to think that throwing a party would get her to not be a jerk.

Though it would make sense that Pinkie set up all the pranks for Dash to see her true colors and that Dash took Pinkies side out of loyalty. That and Pinkie can perfectly pull of acting oblivious.

But whatever, it's Pinkie Pie. She doesn't make sense and is a scape goat for a quick joke in the show.

Luna/Celestia is pretty damn normal. They're gods, it's traditional for gods of the same generation to be coupled each other, especially if they are twins. Heck, it's the only possibe way for them not to be in an Unequal Pairing.

No, I man that's what Gilda, and probably most of the audience, thought. That Dashie did it was kind of a TWIST. A good one too. Pinkie has an uscrutable pokerface.

I think she's fully aware of everypony's feelings... she just doesn't care unless it's somepony like Fluttershy.

But I'm Anti-Pinkie, so I can't say my opinion is unbiased

I just think Pinkie has poor judgement of anyone she hasn't known for long.

She didn't exactly get to know Luna during Season 1, did she? And Luna's arrival, with her booming voice might had made Pinkie think Luna was playing along as her role as Nightmare Moon, so the party game was "run away from Luna screaming."
