@storyeller Whew! I thought I was alone on the TMPP thing, seems everyone here (besides us) is on the "Lets hate Polsky" and/or " Hey hey Trixie returns, instantly the best thing since sliced bread" bandwagon(s).

Yeah TMPP is one of six A+ episodes.

@Psi: Those are pretty cool. They aren't going to oust my current background

though.

I do think that Magic Duel is a better episode, but it has nothing to do with Trixie's return. I just thought it did a better job of pacing the plot and incorporating all the characters into the plot. The fact that Trixie was there is less important than the fact that they utilized her really well.

I didn't hate TMPP, I just thought it was nothing special and Pinkie's antics sometimes grate on me if overdone.

And I don't think it was just they used Trixie, but that they made good use of her and even developed her a bit. I actually thought she was overrated till this episode.

So far, afaiac, all the Season Three stuff is really good, although most of it is heavily built up by continuity.

Yeah, I actually liked Trixie more after the episode because she gained some depth. I liked her well enough before, but she wasn't as interesting as a lot of other characters.

Going by the first few episodes of this season I would have said it was on par, but nothing that special, even a tad lower in quality than the previous two seasons (if not as erratic in quality as the second). The recent couple of episodes however to me have shown they still have a lot of potential left and can top their previous high points.

I'm really not sure how to compare the season as a whole yet. I think that the premiere wasn't as good as the S2 premiere and was a bit underwhelmed (though it was still good) and I'd put it roughly on the same level as the pilot episodes.

As for the other episodes, "One Bad Apple" is good, but not awesome. TMPP and SIP are both above average, and Magic Duel is really good.

My current wallpaper is a bunch of Braid wallpapers I downloaded years ago. I don't see any point in bothering to change it since I barely eversee my desktop anyway (I usually only see it when restarting the computer)

I liked "Too Many Pinkie Pies". If anything, I think it helped Dave Polsky prove that he can make a good episode and Win Back The Crowd!

Now, I wonder if Merriwether Williams can WBTC....

Eh, I consider Williams on the same league really, she had one bad (or at least highly flawed) episode and the rest aren't brilliant but watchable. She also worked on Nick shows like early SpongeBob SquarePants for example so she can probably do something rather good at the right opportunity.

I think he wrote Over The Barrel, which isn't a favorite (I didn't mind it though).
