@Sereg When I said "from Canterlot" I meant that she can monitor all of the dreams in Equestria with her power while she stays in one place. She watches from Canterlot. She doesn't only watch Canterlot. When has she ever been in two places at once, though?

Do you think Luna appears on Derse?

Well, if you mean just Derse, Celestia would probably appear on Prospit.

What is this Derse you're talking about?

Derse, also known as the Kingdom of Darkness is one of the two kingdoms in the Incipisphere. Derse wages an unending war against the Light Kingdom, Prospit, striving for the destruction of Skaia. Derse has always been destined to defeat Prospit, forcing the players to kill the Black King on their own to prevent Skaia from being destroyed.

"Derse" is a portmanteau of "dearth" and "terse", which contrasts with the root of Prospit's name. The demonym of Derse is "Dersite".

@Perpetual Lurker: Ah. Okay. As for Luna multilocaing, admittedly we've only seen her do that as Nightmare Moon. But she split herself into three bodies when disguised as the Shadowbolts.

Discord did the same thing as the butterflies.

@Sereg Wasn't that an illusion, like the scary trees? And you can't really compare Luna to Discord, since she is definitely not a Reality Warper.

@Sereg: I seriously doubt that's multilocation. It's more like she altered her appearance and created two illusions to make it look like she had a team.

That, and my take on the dreams is similar to Perpetual Lurker's, although the mechanism is a bit different. My version is that all dreams sort of occur in one massive dreamscape, which Luna then projects herself into. The dreams all sort of inhabit the same space, but don't overlap, so ponies can't accidentally walk into each others' dreams. Inside the dreamscape, she simply patrols (her ability isn't so much the projection as the ability to move from dream to dream; I see her power as basically Lucid Dreaming, only she can enter other ponies' dreams as well as her own) and keeps an eye out for nightmares. I'd also say that 1. she only intervenes in extreme cases (i.e. she only helped Scootaloo because she saw that the nightmares were ongoing) and 2. she has very limited control over the dreams as well. She can interact with them to a limited degree, but she either can't or won't overhaul the dream completely.

She turned herself into mist and then split into three before transforming again. And she did this out of sight of anypony. That doesn't make sense if it was just illusion.

That said, JT's idea of how dreams work is very similar to how they work in my original multiverse. So, it's not like I dislike the idea.

@Sereg: Even so, just because Nightmare Moon can do it doesn't mean that Luna can. That I don't think we ever saw the mist reform into Nightmare Moon herself; it's entirely possible that she never transformed at all and all three of them were illusions.

Fear and nightmares, huh. Methinks princess Luna may have had some personal experience with that.

So, no appearance or hint of any parental units for Scootaloo, and some of her dialogue suggests being an only child (or at the very least, not having a blood-relative sister).

Also, Scootaloo can actually fly for realsies, apparently? And also can lift a full grown mare, but then, she's pulled heavier loads before.
