Yeah, looking at DT and SS's behavior thus far, I don't think they've ever physically harassed the CMC, and outside of this episode, didn't really go out of their way to annoy them; they just made fun of them whenever it was convenient. The worst thing they did was probably the whole Gabby Gums blackmail thing, which also isn't as bad as some of the stuff that Babs pulled.

Four episodes in and it seems we already have something to eclipse MMDW in terms of pure controversy, which should have been expected considering the subject matter.

as if we didn't have enough dubious controversy about the clones.

I do like that, secondary moral aside, the CMC learned and articulated the episode's lesson without having to be told by an adult.

That would be running a punchline into the ground.

I'm a bit worried about Trixie's return being a potential base breaker that can't possibly please a majority because everyone wants it to go differently, but the last time we were worried about that, things swerved way off expectations and we got Ye Olde Capslock.

Yeah, but at the time pretty much everyone loved Luna, while currently Trixie has the fanbase split like the red sea.

Then again, these are the writers we know and love, so that might not matter.

@Lopiny: It wasn't so much that people didn't liked her, it was that everyone worried that the episode would cause the fanbase to implode by wrecking the popular fanon interpretation of her character. I think Trixie will be a bit more problematic because 1. she's already divisive and 2. there's much more potential pandering involved here. Hopefully the fanbase won't get too worked up over it.

There's basically no way it'd happen on a show like this, but I'm hoping it ends up with something resembling Lunaverse Trixie. Still an abrasive, narcissistic, vindictive, borderline sociopathic ass, but...getting there, and is better at pointing her shenanigans toward good things.
