Eh, it's just a joke. Nothing to get worked up about. Freaking out over it would just make the fandom look worse. I mean, come on, it's a bunch of (mostly male) adults watching a show that's targeted at young girls. It really is a bit ridiculous when you think about it. No reason we can't laugh at ourselves.

I am slowly being annoyed at all the "Lyra the human fanboy" fanon. The fanon is so prevailing, and yet its is built around just two sight gags. I know fans are wont to do that, but it comes off to me as inane.

I find it amusing when it's handled properly. Like if it's just one aspect of her character that she's interested in humans it's amusing, but when it becomes the defining point of her character it gets old rather fast.
@D Roy. It's a meme. Like all memes it is entirely reliant on how it is handled, but it can work well. It's only a problem when it gets in your face.
I dislike
any fanon when fans adhere to it like nunch of fanatics. It seems that in fanfics and fanworks, it is almost obligatory to make a reference to Lyra's obsession with human in some way or another. I think it grew old for me now.

@Applelight - Exactly; despite it being part of her name, her CM, and in her toy info (granted, some people, like me, don't give a damn about whatever is said outside of the series), hardly anyone brings

I once thought about writing a fanfic in which Lyra's obsession with human arises from her childhood (no, I won't, shut up) experience where she encountered a human. I was working on it, but then thought "Wait, what the hell am I dong?"
