It might be something like the bizarro Kami-powered house-rocket Reimu used to get to the moon in Silent Sinner in Blue, only it's a space castle powered by a Princess.
What kinds of weapons and special abilities would it have? The EOH has to be one of the weapons.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
The Crystal Castle (Ha ha) is totally a rocket in disguise.
Pinkie, did you give the fourth wall a booboo?

Hi Pinkie!
Equusynth, perhaps? Vat-grown beings that rebelled against their creators and enslavers, created their own super-advanced civilization, started messing around with trans-dimensional technology, and mysteriously disappeared. Their home planet is now occupied by The Orz, hiveminded trans-dimensional parrot-fish things that react very badly if you ask them about the Androsynth/Equusynth.
They also really love *sauce* and *dancing*. Whatever they mean by that.
* Well, *dancing* means "fighting", or something like that.

But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
No problem is so great that you can't solve it by throwing your wife.
On that topic, I don't often recommend fanfiction, but I thought that
this
was hilarious.

I've got it. The Pony planet is what all the rainbow worlds were pointing to.

Is it a slave-shielded world, and the "sun" and "moon" that the Princesses control are part of a ruse to keep ponies as happy as they can be given the circumstances? Or is that too bleak?

I don't think they'd be slave sheilded. The Ur Quan wouldn't know what hit em.

It could have potential, I think. I mean, the Utwig/Pinkie scenes would be
hilarious, and so would the Spathi/Fluttershy (how would she feel about the "Evil Ones"?).

Somepony should make a star control II mod.
I've been thinking about it. Not sure if I'll ever get the time though.

That would require a lot more modding since the aliens don't normally interact (a good thing too since you have have both Arilou and Orz)

I was thinking in terms of crossover fiction, not in terms of modding.
A mod would be cool, but I think that it would require
a lot of work.

What's this about Sombra pronking?
No heroes, no villains, only pizza.
It can't be that hard, Star Control II is open source and very old.
