Can any of you imagine a cunning villain telling Pinkie that her friends like her for reasons that have nothing to do with her parties(which as far as the villain is concerned would be useless in getting friends). How do you think Pinkie would react to her Cutie Mark being rendered useless?

Another random interesting thing of note is that Twilight says that the Crystal Fair was established by a previous queen. Good to know that not all kings/queens are evil in this universe.

It was established by an evil queen as a tool of opression, but after the crystal ponies overthrew her, they decided to turn it into a festival of joy and celebration to get back at her.

Or maybe, since a window-maker pony's special talent is doing that, they can work a lot faster than a human can and insert all of the panes in the right spots without having to do any of it over.

Well since Rarity can create topiary instantly, I wouldn't be surprised.
