The Changelings went in with an invasion force of one and a half million troops, versus the combined military of all Equestria, numbering around 5 million.

At the end, there were 1.5 million Changeling casualties, and 2.2 million pony casualties, including most of the Lunar Guard, who attempted to guard the Elements until they were forced to call in a Broken Arrow.

I'm thinking that if all my reactions had a front cover, it'd be me wearing Pyro's suit sans mask, grinning like a madman, with the Mane 6 behind me doing things.

Like Rainbow on her back downing a bottle of cider, Twilight looking extremely unamused, Applejack with a "WTF" face, Rarity would be taking cocaine or something, Spike would be behind her with a video camera, Fluttershy praying at a picture of Samuel L. Jackson in a Jedi robe and Pinkie juggling grenades.

Really? Dd you forget that they can shrug off ramming into stone hard enough to make impact craters, have magic and can fly. Not to mention mind control and the ability to change shape (the comic confirms that they can take animal shapes too). Remember that these are standard abilities. Not even getting into the elites. Chrysalis took down Celestia who can pick up the Sun (admittedly, she had help there, but still). Also, their tactics make more sense if they can eat your love during combat! I think one changeling is superior to the typical African militia.

@Sereg - We don't see any elites and since there is no evidence suggesting its existence so it is safe to assume that there is no such thing as elite Changelings (although it would be pretty damn cool if there were). Also, yeah, they broke through stone barriers, and yet it takes one good punch to knock them out. Lastly, strategy? What strategy? I hardly believe random shapeshifting into whoever you are fighting constitutes as a strategy. Even with all the shapeshifting and all, it caused the mane cast minor inconvenience at best.

There were some armored changelings, although given the dark blue of their armor they might have been impersonating some of Luna's Night Guards.

I still hold by my

that Luna personally led her LOYAL Night Guards to repel the main invasion body of the Changelings, stranding the vanguard that was already in Canterlot.
