No, I had long hair, even as a kid. I just dress in an ambiguous way, and have masculine features and mannerisms.
Like, once at this McDonald's when I was 12, in the play area, all these kids thought I was lying about being a girl, so I went into the girls' bathroom just to prove it.

Well, they believed me anyway.
I tried using my singing voice first, cause I sound like a boy except when I'm singing but the one girl was like, so what, you just sound like a girl.
But they apologized afterwards. I think they were pretty embarrassed about it. They thought I was just joking or something.

I need a haircut, I'm starting to pack Super Robot Pilot sideburns and my hair is just uncomfortably heat-trapping.
I wonder how the Mane Six get their manecuts? Twi probably painstaking gives herserlf a geometrically-perfect cut, Rarity and Fluttershy go to the same hairdresser, and AJ just gets her bro to trim the longest bits. Dashie probably gets somepony to trim it for her, and Pinkie's curls may mean she doesn't need to trim them until the bedhead gets overwhelming.

Speaking of that, has anyone ever seen any pictures of Celestia and/or Luna wearing their mane like a kind of biker-chick style, where they have a bandanna tied over their hair and it's back in a ponytail? For some reason I find that image appealing ^3^
