Yeah. for my personal part if the spoiler thread gets blended with here then I'll be doing my disappearing act until S3 kicks up.

For now I say the spoiler Thread is fine where it is.

What is standard spoiler policy, anyway? 24 hours after the original airing? 48 hours? 3 days? A week?

for stuff like movies or video games that might take people a while to watch/play through, I think it's a week.

But for TV episodes that will likely show up on youtube the same day so no one has an excuse for not having seen it? I dunno.

Are you asking about the trope page? Because I don't think the discussion thread has any policy. It'd be kind of hard to discuss things otherwise.

It's the forum that has the policy, not the thread.

Yeah, but even then, if they're busy or aren't in the mood, why would they be in the thread? If they're into the show enough to care that much about spoilers, I'd think they'd try to watch the thing as quickly as possible anyway.

And as noted, there's no official policy in the discussion threads beyond "spoiler preview stuff, and once it's publicly available continue to spoiler until it can be safely assumed that most people have seen it". Given this fandom, the show usually streams live on multiple websites and it's usually up on youtube within a few hours of airing.

And functionally last year, most people who couldn't watch it live either didn't bother posting (it's going to be discussion of the episode; even if it's spoilered you wouldn't have much reason to drop by) or just didn't care.

You know what, now I can't decide if I want to go "screw it, see you guys in November" or "screw it, let me at those spoilers".

(I'm sorry, I've been in a terrible mood today. And also most of the past couple years. Arguably the last several.)

I generally stay away from the thread between the time the episode airs and I watch it.

The only time we've had marked spoilers were for previews and leaked information.
