Well, there's a lot more to it than just that. The pool table is just the hook. He pretty much has to go around to each individual person and use a different technique to get them to actually buy into it, usually compliments or giving them high hopes for this or that. I watched it not long ago, it's quite good, and I have to say I was honestly impressed with Hill.
