That wasn't what it looked like when I saw it, but whatever.

AJ just needs to do more. Let her show off a bit. Let her save the day... ALONE.

Hopefully season 2 will change that.

I don't know if it's been brought up yet, but did anyone else see the little ailicorn filly in Twilight's Magic Kindergarten fantasy?

She's being called Plato. That is a weird name for a pony.

We know, and it's actually Pluto.

Because she's small, sits in the very back, and her existence will be debated over constantly.

Well, it wasn't the entire episode, but she did turn aside a stampede with nobody but Winona for help.

Yeah, it was brought up a few pages ago.

Who notices stuff like that? It's just an animation error guys

She then messes everything up later on. The other cast members have proper episode wide victories to their names (Swarm Of the Century, Boast Busters, Sonic Rainboom, A Dog and Pony Show, Dragonshy)

I agree, but you forget who you're talking about here, Ginger, this is the same fanbase that turned an animation error into Ditzy Doo, a non-existent character so prolific that there is a news website named after her.

So she messed up later in the episode instead of earlier, like in a few of those same episodes you listed.

So what.

The point of the episode wasn't to glorify AJ though, it was to demonstrate that she needed help.

The other episodes I listed ended with a member of the mane cast saving the day all by themselves. Pinkie? Solved the parasprite problem. Rainbow Dash? Performs the rainboom and saves Rarity. Rarity? Beats the Diamond Dogs ALL BY HERSELF. Fluttershy? Talks a dragon down. Twilight? Beats an Ursa minor all by herself

Given the tendancy to reuse character models, it just wouldn't surprise me if we saw Plauato again.

Yeah, she needed help... so that she can go back to being awesome. See, the others did awesome things at the climax of their stories. For Applejack, it's just her way of life and default.

Good thing, too, as she was The Load for the rest of the climb (and exhausted Dash's patience, which led to "GET OUT!")

If only she had shown up Trixie earlier, it wouldn't have shown up.

But anyway, this is kinda going in circles. Can't they all be awesome? I mean, we already know Applejack is awesome. We don't need to look at each cool thing that happens and think "why isn't it Applejack doing that?"

As for Ol' Applejack, I like to think of this comic (Warning, there is blood & guts) when thinking of what good is an Earth Pony among unicorns, pegasi, and a 4th wall breaker.

I like Human Pinkie best.
