That's actually odd; general consensus in the fandom on the pilot is that it falls into So Okay It's Average territory. Although that might just be because we've been biased by the season 2 premier.
It has its moments, but I think a lot of the Eo H stuff is rather corny.

Yeah. All the time Twilight was talking Nightmare Moon could have blasted them and been done with it. It would have been better for it to just be an involuntary thing, then having Twilight explain it to them afterwards.
