@ D Roy, a common theory is that asking the Mane 6 to do this was really a way for Celestia to Get them into Canterlot and ready to wield the elements if needed, without making anyone suspicious.

@Seraphem: Not to mention that given that Twilight's the sister of the groom, and her friends are generally really happy to help out, it's probably cheaper to have them help out than to hire it out, especially as they're all quite good at what they do. They were good enough to be put in charge of Celestia's visit to Ponyville in the pilot.

It already does. But a lot of the uses were probably talking about the fact that Ginger used it a lot.

I know the show is focused on the Mane Six and all, but did it feel weird to anyone that the little sister brigade was brought out to Canterlot without their parental units for something as major as a wedding?

Well, somepony had to do it. That and I don't think Celestia and Luna were actually expecting an attack. As far as they were concerned, there was a small chance, but not bad enough to warrant evacuating all the children.

Well, AJ pretty much is Apple Bloom's guardian, Sweetie's parents seem chilled out enough that they'd be okay with letting Rarity take her, and Scootaloo is...Scootaloo, so it's obvious we wouldn't get an explanation for that. And it's entirely possible that their parents are there, we just didn't see them.

Do we know the Crusader's parental units weren't there? I mean they didn't show them, but it isn't like there was time for that kind of mostly irrelevant detail anyway. Besides, two of them had their big sisters with them at least.

Well, given their precedent for dumping Sweetie Belle on Rarity at the worst times, it would not surprise me in the least if that was what happened, and the rest of the Crusaders came as a package deal.

True, like I said, I know i's all focus on the Mane six and they're entirely incidental but it's just one of those things I thought of that would be a perfect opportunity to at least pay lip service to the fact that "Hey, Scoots has parents! Flutters and RD have families!" since people tend to drag family ad friends to these big shindigs.
