Heck, even Diamond Tiara, who for all intents and purposes is a shallow bitch, has gotten enough development to distinguish herself from the normal stereotype.

Thoughts on 17: the CMC are so adorable. Human!Fluttersay needs an ASPCA jacket.

I don't actually really hate people. And yes, I agree with you about her first few episodes and yes, I think that she's awesome now. But I'd still find Rarity very difficult to gt along with in real life. Especially at the beggining of the show I had an aversion to characters like like that (MLP has helped me with that and shown me that yes, fashion can be cool. Photo Finish is my third favourite pony.). As I said, it has to do with some personal issues. I'm unattractive. I know that I'm unnatractive. But I don't like that I'm told that I have to spend time, money and effort into prettending that I'm not unnatractive. I want to be liked for qualities that I actualy posses. (As I said, I had some issues.)

EDIT: Loved that episode. I tend to really like Fluttershy episodes.

Teeth: Only your second and already a marked improvement. Just a couple points on the legs: they're a bit too long (the background ones especially) and don't forget the line that forms the big hip part of the hind leg (according to Wikipedia, it's called a "Stifle").

Rarity does act kind of shallow in Ticketmaster. Then again, the others' daydreams are similar. But in the end the good outweighs the bad by far.

I had that problem at the start, it's been pounded into our heads that the fashionista can only be the bitch of the show. She actually reminds me a lot of Monique.

I think we've captured Van. He's watching multiple episodes back to back and is willing to call the ponies adorable.

@Kuroi: Yeah, I actually had that stifle thing in there at one point, but I couldn't get it to look right and I left it out. And yeah, the legs are the most annoying part to draw. I dread to think what would happen if I tried to draw a person.

I'm also attempting to draw ponies. This◊ is my least terrible attempt thus far.

@lurker: thy are kids, kids are adorable. Also I have the house to myself so I'm trying to get as many out of the way as possible.

@JT It looks pretty good. Although I'm not sure what the thing coming out of Twi's head is supposed to be.

@JT: Yeah, your first attempt was decent and this is already a marked improvement.

I'll be drawing stuff for this, but I'm at work right now, so I can't ATM. I'm still debating on whether or not to use GIMP or the paint app on my iPad. I don't have a tablet for drawing, so I'm leaning towards the iPad at this point.

@Purple: Are you talking about the messed up horn, or the thought bubble?

I was more referring to what's inside the thought bubble.

It was supposed to be a piece of pie (I have no clue why she'd be dreaming about pie), but then my brain remembered that I can't draw pie, so you get whatever that is. Also, I should probably start drawing on actual sheets of paper rather than on a 3x3 inch notepad.

@sereg not at all! my first drawings were 20%less cool :p. You are going to to improve that's for sure

Here's attempt #3◊. I think it's about on par with the second one. I spent a lot of time futzing with the legs and I'm still not sure if I quite got them.

I always have trouble with proportions when I draw. Heads end up too big or too small for bodies... etc.
